This photograph is especially remarkable as it contained a feature unknown to Frances and Elsie. The sheath or cocoon appearing in the midst of the grasses had never been seen by them before and they had no idea what it was. Fairy observers described it as a magnetic bath, woven quickly by the fairies, and used especially in the autumn following dull weather. The Coming of the Fairies - Conan Doyle
